Hosted by Sarah Baumert of Sara B Yoga, known for her thorough and diverse methods of instruction, her dedication to holding space for individuals’ personal discovery and her investment in building personal relationships with her students. Sarah will be joined by Cat Murcek, a dedicated somatic practitioner with whom she shares a collaborative history exploring movement and the physical body. Together, Cat and Sarah provide a combination of practical and whimsical elements, resulting in a structured, safe atmosphere where students can play, explore and re-energize.
Catherine “Cat” Murcek is a dance artist and yoga instructor at the 500-hr level. What began as a mode to supplement her training in modern dance quickly became a vital tool for maintaining tranquility and groundedness in her life. She completed her 200-hr YTT in the Yogaworks method with Natasha Rizopoulos in 2009, and her 300-hr with Alison West of Yoga Union this year. Both of these trainings in addition to her somatic experience from dancing have infused Cat’s teaching with an appreciation for alignment within flow and an eye for the therapeutic potential of yoga.
